illegal Immigrants in the United States

Through the past years the amount of illegal immigrants coming to the U.S.
has increased.Illegal Immigrants come to the U.S because we are a free country, we are ruled by the decisions and actions of the people. Many of these immigrants come here to find better jobs with better pay.Living in Texas I hear a lot about illegal immigrants coming to Texas and other southern states. Illegal immigrants have negative and positive impacts on our economy. An example of a negative impact is when the Illegal immigrants come to the U.S. , find jobs and send there children to school but never pay there taxes. This being the government and the teachers lose money. An example of a positive impact is increasing the growth of global trade and manufacturing. The U.S. deals with the illegal immigrants by having a huge line of security guarding the borders of the U.S. and inspecting passports. The U.S. has put in fences in certain sections along the border to help decrease the amount of illegal immigrants in the U.S..

Hi Kate,
great job on providing the pros and cons about illegal immigrants. It is indeed a dilemma of the U.S. government. In Taiwan, we used to have a lot of illegal immigrants from China and the government usually trasnported them back without a second thought. Under comparison, I think the dilemma in America's policy towards illegal immigrants also shows the humanitarian achievement of the government and the people.
